I am Logan Williamson, a licensed professional counselor helping adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and the autism spectrum. Over two decades I have worked in schools, universities, clinics, and nonprofits, and every one of those rooms taught me something my clients now benefit from.
The training.
I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology from Rhodes College, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas, and completed two additional years of graduate work in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver.
Before New Orleans, I was a therapist at Knippenberg, Patterson & Associates, a Denver leader in ADHD and autism treatment, and consulted at Denver Academy, a nationally known school for students who learn differently, where I ran groups, supported staff, and lectured to parents and the community.
The New Orleans years.
After moving here, I provided therapy at Loyola University's counseling center and coordinated programs vital to student health and wellness. I spent several years at Daughters of Charity delivering integrated behavioral health: short-term interventions, psychotropic medication management support, and adherence work for chronic illness, side by side with primary care physicians.
Most recently I served as executive director of the Chartwell Center, a nonprofit providing clinical, educational, and vocational services to people on the autism spectrum, where clinical experience and strategic vision finally got to work the same job.
After the last set.
I served six years on the board of the Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, one term as vice-chair and two consecutive terms as board chair, advocating for effective, integrated behavioral, mental, and physical healthcare for residents, many of them under-served.
Home is the local New Orleanian I married and our two amazing children. There is usually an instrument within reach and some new piece of technology on trial, and this website is proof of the second habit: it has been rebuilt more times than my wife thinks is reasonable, and it will happen again.
