ADHD therapy across Louisiana,
for minds that keep their own time.
You can find a therapist in New Orleans who takes your insurance. You can find one who works in ADHD all day. Finding both in the same person is the part that takes people a year. I see adults with ADHD in virtual sessions across Louisiana, whether you were diagnosed at eight or started wondering at forty eight.
Covered, and specialized.
You should not have to pick one.
I take United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, and TSHIP, the Tulane program. Private pay is $175 a session. The first consultation is free either way, and I will tell you what your plan covers before you commit to anything.
Most people arrive having worked with somebody before, and having found the ADHD part never quite came into focus. That is ordinary. It hides behind the anxiety and the tiredness, and it is easy to treat what is on top of it for a long time without getting underneath.
Stop grading yourself on consistency.
You know the rhythm by now. A stretch where everything lands, then a stretch you cannot explain to anybody, starting with yourself. Holding yourself to sameness, the same output every day, sets you against the one standard this brain was never built to meet, and the shame that follows takes more out of you than the missed deadline did.
Here is the thing this city already knows: the beat is allowed to move. A parade does not march like an army, and the song swings because nobody demands it hold still. The work is not forcing your attention to march. It is learning the time your mind keeps and arranging the week around it.
The song swings because the beat is allowed to move.
What it has cost you
outside of work.
Nobody I see names focus first. They name the unreturned call to their mother, the birthday they meant to remember, the partner who stopped asking because asking had become the argument. Attention is the part of this with a name on it, and it is rarely the part doing the damage.
Sleep belongs in this list too. Most of the people I see sleep badly, and it quietly undoes whatever else we build, so we deal with it early rather than last.
Built for the week that comes apart.
I do not sit quietly waiting for you to fill the silence. We take something from your week that went sideways, work out where it came apart, and build a fix you can try before the next session. Often it is not a work problem. It is the fourth time you meant to call somebody back, and what that is starting to do to how you see yourself.
Whatever we build assumes the bad week instead of hoping for a good one, and we treat the anxiety and depression that usually came along with it, because those are most of what makes ADHD feel unmanageable.
Worth checking one more thing before we go further. In one longitudinal sample, almost half of adults diagnosed with ADHD also screened positive for autistic traits.1 If routine and novelty both feel necessary and nothing has ever held for long, that pairing has its own page here. No diagnosis is needed to begin either way, and that question has an answer of its own.
I do not prescribe, and that is an advantage.
I have nothing to sell you in either direction. Some of the people I see are better on medication and some are better off it, and that decision sits with you and whoever writes the prescription. It does not mean I go quiet when the subject comes up. At Daughters of Charity I spent years delivering integrated behavioral health beside primary care physicians, including medication management support, so I know these drugs: what each one is good for, how it looks when a dose is wrong, and which side effects should never be shrugged off.
We will spend more time together in a month than a series of med checks gives you in a year. If something shifts, I usually see it first, and I take it to your prescriber so they are deciding from a full picture rather than a fifteen minute snapshot. That is what integrated care means in practice.
