New Orleans ·
Virtual across Louisiana

Where education, experience,
and empathy meet.

I am Logan Williamson, a licensed professional counselor in New Orleans. Minds are like the instruments in a New Orleans band: no two play alike, and the song needs every one of them. I help adults with ADHD, autism, depression, and anxiety learn to play theirs well. Therapy with me is the practice room: active, practical, and built around what you actually want to change. Sessions are virtual, anywhere in Louisiana, and the first conversation is free.

Insurance and private pay. United Healthcare and BCBS PPO accepted.

The whole band

Different instruments,
one song.

Neurodiversity works like a New Orleans band. If the world were full of saxophones, nobody would ever hear that funky tuba. Therapy here is about learning your instrument, tuning it, and finding where it sits in the song. You will hear that idea all over this site, because I believe it. Some weeks the work is technique. Some weeks it is just getting back in rhythm. Either way, the band is better with you in it.

How I work

“How does that make you feel?”
Sure, but not for fifty minutes.

Therapy with me is active. I ask questions because I am curious how things actually work for you, and I share my impressions because honest, useful input is what I am here to give. We work on the things that matter most in the here and now, we set goals we can both point to, and you leave with ideas to try between sessions.

Underneath that is a strengths-based bet: the things that will keep you well are already in you somewhere, and our job is to find them, name them, and put them to work. Top-flight training, hundreds of clients, and over ten thousand supervised clinical hours stand behind the process. Success favors preparation.

Couples

Two people,
one relationship.

I have a particular soft spot for couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent: two instruments that were never going to play the same part, learning to play the same song. And from premarital counseling to communication that keeps hitting the same wall, couples therapy gives the relationship itself a place to be worked on, not just the two people in it.

Beyond the couch

Lectures and
practice development.

I speak to schools, clinics, companies, and community organizations on ADHD, autism, integrated care, and more, the way the band leaves the stage and joins the street. And for clinicians building something of their own, practice development puts twenty-plus years of running practices, programs, and nonprofits to work on your business.

Strike up the conversation.

The first consultation is free. Tell me what is going on, ask me anything, and we will figure out together whether I am the right fit. If I am not, I will point you to someone who is.
